Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead cloud security architecture and design for AWS-based platforms and workloads.
- Lead security reviews for cloud workloads, infrastructure, and application designs.
- Define and enforce identity, network, data, and workload security controls across multi-account AWS environments.
- Own and mature usage of AWS security services including IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, WAF, Shield, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Implementation knowledge of IDS/IPS, CASB, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, should have at least one implementation experience Palo Alto/ CrowdStrike platform and tools
- Embed security into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Drive DevSecOps adoption, security automation, and policy-as-code practices.
- Support security governance, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS).
- Lead security incident response activities, investigations, and post-incident improvements.
- Act as a security advisor to cloud, DevOps, and engineering teams.
- Support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Benchmarks.
- Support Organization wide awareness programs
Skills
- 810 years of total IT experience.
- 5+ years in cloud security / information security roles.
- Strong hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of:
i. AWS IAM & access control models
ii. Network security (VPCs, SGs, NACLs, PrivateLink)
iii. Encryption, key management, and secrets handling
iv. Logging, monitoring, and security visibility
- Experience securing containers and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Ability to translate security risks into clear, business-relevant guidance.
