Security Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Security Architecture Design: Design and develop comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). Ensure cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and resilient. Define security standards and best practices for cloud deployments, including network security, data protection, and identity management. Develop security solutions for cloud-native applications, including microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.
• Implementation of Security Controls: Implement and manage security controls in cloud environments, such as encryption, access control, and logging. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate testing. Deploy and manage cloud security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions. Ensure secure configurations of cloud services, including storage, databases, and networking.
• Risk Assessment and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for cloud systems to mitigate security risks. Ensure compliance with standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. Develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Coordinate with auditors to meet security compliance and audit requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud security architectures, configurations, and policies. Provide regular reports on cloud security status, incidents, and compliance. Review and update security procedures to align with best practices and lessons learned from real-world scenarios. Educate teams on cloud security policies and practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in security, with a focus on cloud security and cybersecurity. Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure cloud architectures. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their security features. Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CSA STAR.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and network security. Proficiency with tools like AWS Security Hub and Azure Security Centre. Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Security Specialty Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
