Summary

As a Data Privacy Protection Manager, a typical day involves running the privacy program for the account and making sure personal data is handled in line with applicable laws such as DPDPA and GDPR. This role requires working closely with legal, IT and business teams to identify privacy risks and close gaps. The position also involves reviewing how data is collected and used, conducting privacy assessments, and supporting compliance across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and review data handling across projects to identify and close compliance gaps.
• Manage data classification, consent records, data subject requests, and data retention requirements.
• Support breach response and notification, and keep teams up to date on changes in data protection regulations.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Privacy Protection.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with Data Protection & Privacy Impact Assessment.
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and frameworks such as DPDPA, GDPR and ISO 27701.
• Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and handling data subject requests.
• Familiarity with data classification, consent management and data retention practices.
• Good understanding of privacy risk assessment and how to work with legal and business teams on data protection.
  
  

Additional Information

• The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Data Privacy Protection.
• This position is based at our Gurugram office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
