Job Description
We're looking for a full-time Security AI Engineer to design and build advanced cybersecurity solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence and automation to enhance and scale Phenom security operations.
This role focuses on developing intelligent automation capabilities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity activities such as threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations. The Security AI Engineer will work to optimize workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen Phenom's overall security posture.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop AI-driven automation solutions to enhance cybersecurity operations and reduce manual workloads
- Build tools and systems to support threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring
- Automate repetitive security tasks such as alert triage, investigation workflows, reporting, and remediation tracking
- Integrate and orchestrate security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanners)
- Develop solutions to prioritize risks and vulnerabilities based on threat intelligence, exploitability, and business impact
- Improve security visibility and reporting through dashboards, metrics, and automated insights
- Research and evaluate emerging AI techniques and cybersecurity threats to continuously improve automation capabilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable security engineering solutions and frameworks
- Support the continuous improvement of security processes, workflows, and tooling through automation
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or related roles
- Hands-on experience developing software solutions, automation, or security tools
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience working within software development environments and SDLC processes
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Specialized Knowledge
- Experience applying AI/ML in cybersecurity use cases, such as anomaly detection, threat detection, or intelligent code analysis
- Understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems, especially in SaaS environments
- Experience working with APIs, automation frameworks, and system integrations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to engineering teams
