As an experienced financial services reference data expert within the Securities Services Chief Data Office, you will lead our cross-business reference data transformation initiatives, which concurrently play a critical role in scaling our Data Lake, Analytics and AI solutions. This position is responsible for end-to-end Reference Data program delivery including holistic governance, tracking, requirements, testing, implementation and scaling for Securities Services and broader Investment Banking initiatives. This person will have substantial knowledge of Reference Data across all domains. They will be a data expert and interact with internal partners across front office, business management, technology, data engineering and operations teams on all facets of a program, including stakeholder management and training. They will present to the various stakeholders the specifics of how the various Reference Data aspects will work with the integrated operating model, identify key opportunities, build relationships and deliver solutions for Securities Services and the firm as a whole.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:
    Execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Securities Services Reference Data, aligning with business objectives and client needs. Guide the team in prioritizing initiatives, delivering value, scale and promoting business adoption. Align Securities Services goals and plans with wider CIB and firm objectives
  • Team Management & Mentorship:
    Manage and mentor a team of Vice Presidents and Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Engage and coordinate with senior business stakeholders, including users, technology teams, business management teams and operations teams to gather requirements and prioritize features across all Securities Services business lines. Represent the team in senior leadership forums.
  • Delivery & Execution:
    Oversee end-to-end product delivery, from concept to deployment, ensuring high-quality releases and continuous improvement across all reference data initiatives.Work with the centralized Reference Data teams to make sure the data created is fit for purpose for use by Securities Services. End to end ownership and delivery is a key
  • Adoption of Firmwide Reference Data Frameworks:
    Champion best practices for Securities Services implementation and adoption of firmwide reference data structures that underpin JPMorgan's unified approach to critical functions such as onboarding, client relationship management and business intelligence/analytics.Understand current state and future state flows for adoption of strategic reference data and provide support required for defining on-boarding model including migration planning and execution as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformations of party, instrument, and pricing reference data platforms and operating models to support business scale, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and next generation AI/Analytics toolsets
  • Familiarity with Data Product, Data Engineering and Data Lake methodologies, processes and technical concepts, and how they apply to Ref Data solutioning
  • Excellent communication skills in all formats to all audiences
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills to deliver value through adoption of strategic reference data solutions
  • Excellent strategic thinking, senior stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Experience managing global, cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to see both the big picture and detailed aspects to develop strategy and resolve issues.
