  • Accountable and Responsible to lead a team of Raw Material Planners across multiple geographies /plants and support their growth, career pathing, competency & capability building through subject matter expertise and leadership / core competency development
  • Collaborate with Procurement Category Teams, Quality Team, to qualify sources, RM codes, trial production and support on time qualifications of parts and sources
  • Accountable & Responsible for, Business Continuity, Plant audits as applicable to RM Processes & Procedures by OEMs /Third Party, Network Projects and conducting RM Space requirements to support the growth of the Plants/Business.
  • Accountable & Responsible for Raw Material Planning, scheduling & Inventory Management for tall planning horizons to manage service levels to protect production requirements, business continuity while optimizing cash and total delivered cost for the YOHT Business.
  • Lead the Planning process as relevant to Raw Material Planning & Inventory Management based on aligned Production requirement for all Plants, collaborating with all stake holders - Supply Chain, Category Procurement Team, Finance Organization, Quality & Technology Teams, Manufacturing Plant Directors and vendors
  • Accountable and Responsible to develop 8 Reasons of Inventory for Raw Material for all Plants for all Codes with an objective to protect business continuity and optimizing cash and total delivered cost.
  • Lead Process Health Improvement in the area of Raw Material Planning in the areas of End to Planning Process, Bill of Materials, Governance Process, Raw Material Codification Process, application to digitize standard work, Work In process movements across various plants & develop smart tools to support MRP, Signal to buy and schedule collaborating with all stake holders. Conduct benchmarking study to assess process health inside the company and across industries with the aim to bring in best in class processes, tools and practices.

  • Raw Material Planning, Forecasting, vendor scheduling, Inventory Management, quality of process, associated with circa USD 450M of Raw Materials from more than 200 + vendors and 150 + RM Codes.
  • Inter -plant RM materials movement coordination and control in-bound materials plan, suppliers to plant (what goes where, when and how much) on a continuous basis
  • RM requirement development and hand-off to vendors and scheduling raw materials, consistent with the Category Strategy and guidance. Streamline the process of material request planning.
  • Drive Continuous improvements - drive lean processes and coordinates with and support regional Mfg operations, new product materials integration, interfaces with and support Plant Materials Control Mgrs / RM Planning and scheduling from vendors
  • As the Head of the function - establishment of RM Inv Mgmt processes, methods and standards. Continuously grow and build a team of Raw Materials planning and Inventory mgmt professionals at a Country and Plant level
  • Besides the operational role, lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of RM Planning & Scheduling process health improvement and provide thought leadership and guidance collaborating with SC Teams within, Category Teams, Quality and Technology teams, Lead Regional Projects as relevant to RM, collaborating with all stake holders.
  • Coach, develop and lead a team of RM Planners in the capacity of the leader using the framework of Functional & Core Competency to build capability in the function.
  • Accountable to digitize standard work through application of Robotics, smart tools to support end to end process around signal to make & buy as applicable for Raw Materials.
  • Lead Business Continuity efforts associated with RM supply outages collaborating with Global Category Teams & Quality /Technology and Plant teams
  • Lead the transition of Organization Construct - associated with RM Centralization with robust governance & Change Management Program in Place.

Mandatory

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in business/ or Supply Chain, Operations Mgmt, Business Mgmt , Economics , Engineering or related field.

Preferred: Masters

Functional/ Technical Competencies

  • Strong Materials Management knowledge, Process and Analytical skills, MRP and SAP / SAP-PP, MM module, and awareness of relevant technology platforms.
  • Ability to clearly define / apply process solutions and understand tools that can drive continuous improvements
  • High ability to communicate up (Plant Heads, Heads of various functions) and down (Planning team, SC team, Plant Quality and Manufacturing);
  • Perseverance and results driven, process and systems driven.
  • Strong on Analytics.
  • Experience in an ERP platform for Material Management.

Behavioral/ Managerial Competencies

  • Able to coach and manage a team as well as interface with associates at levels above and below within the company.

Work Experience

  • at least 12 to 15 years experience in Supply Chain and 3-5 years at managerial level in a multinational company, preferably in the FMCG or Automotive industry.
  • Good experience with lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements, and Operations Planning.
  • Ability to define, develop, and manage highly complex processes and to drive efficiency improvements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people in variety functions within the organizations as well as with higher Mgmt team.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to articulate complex issues
  • Understanding of S&OP process from end to end, inventory strategy and production planning
  • Experienced in working in a matrix organization of businesses, understanding of business issues, metrics and customer value
  • Demonstrated implementation or experience of any cost to serve model
