Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in the instrumentation and control section.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and evaluate team performance.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures.

2. Operations and Maintenance

  • Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient system operations.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts and resources for instrumentation systems.

3. System Design and Development

  • Plan, design, and implement upgrades or modifications to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Review and approve engineering designs and specifications related to instrumentation.
  • Ensure compatibility of new systems with existing infrastructure.

4. Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure all instrumentation and control systems meet industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments for systems under the section's purview.
  • Maintain documentation, including manuals, schematics, and calibration records.

5. Budget and Resource Management

  • Prepare and manage the section's budget, including forecasting costs for equipment, labor, and projects.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors for instrumentation-related procurement and services.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Implement best practices and emerging technologies in instrumentation and control.
  • Lead initiatives for automation and digital transformation within the section.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ISA, TUV Functional Safety) is a plus.
