Job Description

Position: SecOps Manager

Job Location: Chennai

Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee continuous monitoring of security systems, including SIEM, EDR, and network security tools, to ensure the protection of the web application platform.
  • Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery, while developing and managing incident response plans.
  • Implement and manage threat detection systems, analyzing security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, prioritize remediation efforts, and manage the resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce security controls to safeguard the web application platform, including access controls, encryption, and secure coding practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA, and prepare for and manage audits and assessments.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports, and provide regular updates on security posture, compliance, and incident response metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, including secure coding and vulnerability management.
  • Work with IT and engineering teams to embed security across infrastructure, applications, and operations.
  • Assess and manage the security posture of third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet the company's security requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate potential security threats to the web application platform, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on security best practices and emerging threats.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies, and drive the adoption of new tools and techniques to enhance the platform's security posture.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's security strategy and roadmap, aligning security operations with business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and lessons learned to refine incident response processes and strengthen security controls.

Experience & Skills

  • 8+ Years in Security Operations: Extensive experience in managing and leading security operations.
  • Cloud Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of security practices and configurations for AWS and Google Cloud platforms.
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD Proficiency: Experience with DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Terraform, as well as scripting for automation.
  • OS Platform Security: Strong understanding of operating system security across various platforms.
  • Security Technologies and Practices: Comprehensive knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to identify and assess security risks and incidents through detailed analysis.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership and communication skills to effectively manage security operations teams and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills for addressing and resolving complex security challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving security landscapes and changing business needs.
  • Skilled in collaborating with various departments to integrate security into all aspects of business operations.
  • Experience in managing security projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within scope and budget.

Desired Skill

  • Proficiency in various security frameworks and standards, such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA
  • Strong background in cloud, network, and application security.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
