Secondary School Teacher

We require 08 Secondary School Teachers for the following different subjects,

1. Psychology (IBDP/A Level)
2. English (Grades 6-9)
3. Biology/EMS
4. Spanish
5. Business Management

Educational Qualification & Experience:

CIE/IB-trained Graduates/Postgraduates with B.Ed. for All Subjects and a minimum of 5 years experience.

Scope of Work:

As a Secondary Teacher (English) at SVKM J.V. Parekh International School (IGCSE/IBDP/A-Level), you will be required to perform the following duties:

• Understand and completely internalize the SVKM's quality policy with regard to the IGCSE/IBDP/A-Level Education, including the developed curriculum and Teaching-learning strategy under the overall guidance of the Principal of SVKM J.V. Parekh International School (IGCSE/IBDP/A-Level).
• To be responsible for the implementation of the syllabus of the subject assigned or the class allotted, with full participation and involvement.
• To be accountable to the SVKM management through the head of the school in respect of the class-room performance and the performance on all other scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
• Make all possible efforts to maintain and improve the attendance in the school.
• Assist the Principal as required in the general organization of the school activities holding periodical & terminal examination, in arranging co-curricular activities.
• Set question papers for term & other examinations in the subject assigned to you as per the plan that is prepare by the Principal and assess answer papers judiciously.
• Plan Scheme of Work for teaching your respective subject/class based on guidelines along with the Internal Assessment and feedback strategies.
• Plan a support system for students in your respective subject.
• Access Online Curriculum websites periodically and utilize the subject-specific teacher support wherever necessary.
• Assist the Principal and Vice-Principal in updating folders with essential authorization documents for the visiting team/s of the respective curricular bodies.
• Assist Secondary Coordinator in following up with Library for e-resources, subscription to e-magazines etc.
• Collaborate regularly with other teachers for efficient and effective implementation of the program.
• Undergo and successfully complete Orientation courses.
• In addition to the above, you shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to you by the Principal from time to time
