Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction at the secondary level, enabling students to develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills in alignment with CBSE curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver English lessons for Grades VIIIX as per CBSE syllabus.
- Teach grammar, literature, comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments and evaluate student progress.
- Prepare students for examinations through structured practice and feedback.
- Encourage critical thinking, creative expression, and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate academic records, lesson plans, and student assessments.
- Use interactive, learner-centric, and technology-enabled teaching methods.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and concerns.
- Participate in school events, trainings, meetings, and examination duties.
- Adhere to CBSE guidelines, school policies, and academic standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA/MA in English.
- B.Ed mandatory.
- Minimum 25 years of teaching experience at secondary level preferred.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command over spoken and written English.
- Sound knowledge of English grammar, literature, and pedagogy.
- Ability to engage and motivate adolescent learners.
- Effective classroom management and assessment skills.
