Scope of Role

The Technical Lead is responsible for leadership of the sub system engineers and is responsible for deliverables forall aspects of defined component(s) / system(s).

Area of Responsibility
. Complete ownership for designing of Body Seating System:(Frame/Foam/Plastic) All row Seat frame and Trims, seat plastics parts like Side valance, back board, Foam, Headrests, Track covers, ECU try, Speaker brackets etc.
. Should be able to create parametric 3D proposals in Catia maintaining editable history, define materials & create components as well as assembly 3D drawings with drawing standards wherever applicable.
. Packaging studies, environment check, kinematics simulation (if applicable) for various mechanisms with good knowledge of all regulatory and functional requirements.
. Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
. Lead technical discussions with Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers, ensuring timely Design, delivery of prototypes, tooling, and production parts.
. Create, review and approve DFA, DFM DFMEAs, DVPs, APQP / PPAP and other required documentation.
. Ensure & meet all DVP requirements i.e crash safety, comfort, durability, NVH, and regulatory requirements etc., as applicable.
. Validate compliance with global safety regulations (FMVSS, ECE, ISO, etc.)
. Work closely with Studio Design, Vehicle Safety, Attribute team, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance and Procurement to ensure robust integration and delivery.

Essential:
. Extensive experience in using CATIA V6/V5
. Good all round design skills which must include past experience of working on at least one of seating systems
. Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
. Team Centre Engineering (TCE)
. Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
