Job Description

Off-Page Sr. SEO Specialist/Lead (Link Building & Authority)

Experience: 4–5+ years

Type: Full-time

Background: Agency experience required

Job Summary

We're looking for an Off-Page SEO Specialist who lives and breathes link building and off-site authority. You'll own the entire off-page function — from strategy to execution — driving domain authority, referral traffic, and organic rankings across client/brand portfolios. This is a strictly off-page focused role; on-page and technical SEO knowledge is a strong plus, but not the core mandate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute end-to-end off-page SEO strategies aligned with ranking and traffic goals.
  • Build high-quality, relevant backlinks through guest posting, digital PR, HARO, broken link building, resource-page outreach, and niche edits.
  • Manage and scale outreach campaigns — prospecting, email outreach, relationship building, and negotiation with publishers and link partners.
  • Conduct backlink audits, identify and disavow toxic links, and monitor link velocity and anchor-text health.
  • Run competitor backlink gap analysis to uncover new link opportunities.
  • Track, measure, and report on off-page KPIs (DA/DR, referring domains, link quality, referral traffic).
  • Stay current with Google algorithm updates and adapt link-building practices to remain white-hat and penalty-safe.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on off-page SEO / link-building experience.
  • Proven agency background managing multiple clients/campaigns simultaneously.
  • Deep expertise in off-page strategy: digital PR, guest posting, outreach, link prospecting, and anchor-text optimization.
  • Proficiency with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Majestic, BuzzStream/Pitchbox, and Google Search Console.
  • Strong outreach, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid grasp of white-hat practices and Google's link-related guidelines.

Good to Have (Plus Points)

  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO (content optimization, meta, internal linking).
  • Familiarity with technical SEO (site audits, crawlability, page speed, schema).
  • Experience with content-led link acquisition and data-driven PR campaigns.
