SEO/GEO/AEO SPECIALIST

Location - Bangalore

Role Summary

We are looking for a high-impact SEO / GEO / AEO specialist to strengthen our digital visibility in both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery environments. This role sits at the intersection of search, content, AI, and demand generation, and is critical to ensuring brand presence in a rapidly evolving zero-click and AI-answer-led world. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on SEO expertise, a strong grasp of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and the ability to work cross-functionally with GTM, content, analytics, and technology teams. You will be responsible for driving measurable improvements in organic performance, AI citations, and LLM discoverability while influencing stakeholders with data-backed insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generative & Answer Engine Optimization (GEO / AEO)

· Establish and operationalize GEO/AEO strategies to improve visibility in AI-generated answers, summaries, and citations for Infosys big bets and other Infosys business units

· Optimize content for conversational, intent-led, and natural-language queries across AI and voice interfaces.

· Track brand presence, references, and citation frequency across LLMs and AI search experiences.

· Continuously monitor emerging GEO/AEO trends, algorithm changes, and platform shifts, translating them into execution-ready playbooks.

2. SEO Strategy & Program Ownership

· Define and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy spanning technical, on-page, content, and off-page SEO.

· Lead keyword and intent research aligned to GTM priorities, solutions, industries, and buyer journeys.

· Drive authority and trust-building initiatives, including link acquisition and domain credibility programs.

· Partner with Infosys GTM teams to scale SEO initiatives globally.

3. Content Strategy & AI Readiness

· Partner with content and campaign teams to ensure assets are search-optimized and AI-readable.

· Influence content structure, depth, and authority to improve LLM understanding and citation likelihood.

· Guide teams on schema markup, structured data, FAQs, internal linking, and AI-friendly formatting.

· Support pillar, cluster, and evergreen content strategies aligned to long-term organic growth.

4. Technical SEO & Platform Optimization

· Conduct regular technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, page performance, and core web vitals.

· Work closely with developers and MarTech teams to resolve SEO issues and improve site health.

· Ensure scalable SEO best practices across CMS, templates, and digital platforms.

5. Measurement, Reporting & Business Impact

· Own organic and AI visibility measurement, tracking metrics such as traffic, rankings, SERP features, AI citations, and engagement.

· Build dashboards and performance views using GA4, Search Console, and SEO/GEO platforms.

· Translate performance data into clear business insights tied to demand generation, pipeline, and brand goals.

· Regularly communicate performance, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

· Partner with GTM, demand generation, content, analytics, and technology teams to align priorities and execution.

· Influence decisions through structured thinking, insight-led storytelling, and clear articulation of ROI.

· Bring clarity and momentum to ambiguous briefs, owning initiatives end-to-end.

Role Requirements

Experience & Background

· 5–8 years of hands-on SEO experience, with ownership of complex, enterprise-scale SEO programs.

· Demonstrated exposure to GEO / AEO or AI-driven search optimization, with practical application in the last 12–18 months.

· Proven track record of improving organic visibility, SERP presence, and content performance across multiple themes or markets.

· Experience working in B2B, enterprise, or multi-stakeholder environments is strongly preferred.

Technical & Analytical Skills

· Strong understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawling, indexing, and performance optimization.

· Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends, diagnose issues, and recommend actions.

· Comfort working with large datasets, dashboards, and performance reporting.

Tools & Platforms

· Analytics & SEO: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs.

· GEO / AI Optimization: Profound, Adobe LLM Optimizer, or similar emerging platforms.

· Familiarity with CMS platforms, structured data, and tagging frameworks.

Core Competencies

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across levels.

· Ability to operate in ambiguity and rapidly evolving problem spaces.

· High ownership mindset with attention to detail and execution quality.
