Job Description:

As an SEO Specialist at GITAM Deemed to be University, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and hands-on execution of our SEO and VEO (Voice Engine Optimization) initiatives. Your primary responsibility is to lead and implement end-to-end SEO and VEO strategies, elevating our online presence, visibility, and voice search performance.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine SEO and VEO strategies aligned with our organisational goals.

Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to drive on-site and off-site content optimisation.

Implement on-page and off-page SEO activities to enhance organic search rankings for both on-site and off-site content.

Perform technical SEO audits for on-site and off-site improvements.

Identify opportunities to enhance the user experience on both on-site and off-site properties.

Analyze and build high-quality backlinks for off-site SEO.

Collaborate with content creators for both on-site and off-site SEO.

Lead the integration of VEO practices to optimize content for voice search platforms.

Regularly monitor and report on SEO and VEO performance using analytics tools, adjusting strategies as needed.

Stay abreast of search engine algorithms, voice search trends, and industry developments.

Implement local SEO and VEO strategies for region-specific visibility in traditional and voice searches.

Utilize various SEO and VEO tools and software to measure and enhance SEO and VEO effectiveness.

Skills:

Proficiency in various SEO and VEO tools and software, including Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and voice search optimization tools.

A strong understanding of on-site and off-site SEO and VEO strategies.

Technical SEO expertise, including site audits and improvements.

Backlink analysis and content marketing skills.

Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), particularly WordPress.

Familiarity with social media management tools and their impact on SEO and VEO.

Competency in competitive analysis tools.

Proficiency in off-site SEO and VEO strategies, including link-building and influencer outreach.
