Job Title: SEO Specialist (E-commerce)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 2–4 Years

Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven SEO Specialist with hands-on experience in both traditional SEO and E-commerce SEO to drive organic growth for a portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical SEO, keyword strategy, content optimization, website audits, and e-commerce website optimization, with a strong focus on improving organic visibility, traffic, conversions, and revenue.

This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with execution while managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and website performance.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, content gap analysis, and search trend analysis.
  • Optimize website content, metadata, URL structures, internal linking, and site architecture.
  • Monitor and improve keyword rankings, website traffic, and organic conversions.
  • Create actionable SEO recommendations based on data and insights.
  • Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and industry best practices.

Technical SEO

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor and resolve crawlability, indexing, duplicate content, site speed, and Core Web Vitals issues.
  • Work closely with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.
  • Ensure website health through regular audits and performance monitoring.
  • Implement structured data/schema markup where applicable.

E-commerce SEO

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies for e-commerce and D2C brands.
  • Optimize category pages, collection pages, product pages, and faceted navigation structures.
  • Conduct keyword mapping for product and category pages based on customer search behavior.
  • Improve product discoverability through effective on-page optimization.
  • Work with content and merchandising teams to enhance product descriptions and category content.
  • Monitor organic revenue, transactions, and product-level search performance.
  • Support SEO planning for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Optimize large product catalogs while ensuring proper indexing and crawl efficiency.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track and analyze SEO performance using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and present actionable insights.
  • Monitor KPIs such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions, revenue, and technical health.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website visibility and organic business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with content, social media, performance marketing, design, and development teams.
  • Support integrated digital marketing strategies with SEO best practices.
  • Participate in client discussions and strategy reviews when required.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
  • Strong expertise in On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.
  • Experience handling SEO for E-commerce, D2C, Retail, or Marketplace brands.
  • Strong understanding of search intent and customer purchase journeys.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered search trends and evolving search behavior.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of emerging search technologies including AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
  • Experience optimizing content for AI-powered search experiences such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other generative search platforms.
  • Knowledge of entity-based SEO, structured data, topical authority, and AI content discoverability strategies.
