About the Role:
We are looking for a results-driven SEO Manager with 7+ years of hands-on experience in an agency environment to lead and scale our SEO function across multiple client accounts. This role emphasizes strategic ownership, department-wide leadership, client consulting, and operational excellencefocusing less on day-to-day execution and more on driving measurable organic growth, team scalability, and business outcomes like qualified lead generation, organic visibility, and revenue impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor SEO Team Leads and specialistsby providing strategic direction, reviewing performance, setting priorities, establishing accountability, and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery across client projects.
- Define and drive organization-wide SEO strategies aligned with client acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth objectives, including portfolio-level audits, opportunity identification, and roadmap development.
- Oversee new client onboarding from an SEO perspective, including audits, strategy validation, and expectation setting.
- Build scalable SEO processes, workflows, and SOPs to improve execution efficiency, consistency, and quality benchmarks across all accounts.
- Use tools like Google Search Console, GA4, GTM, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog to monitor portfolio performance, identify opportunities, and guide data-backed decisions.
- Leverage AI tools for content optimization, keyword clustering, automation, and implement practical GEO and AEO strategies to enhance visibility in AI-driven and conversational search environments.
- Stay updated with Google algorithm updates and proactively guide teams in adapting strategies to sustain rankings and organic performance.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, content, and performance marketing teams to embed SEO best practices across execution stages; drive resource planning, workload distribution, and capacity management.
- Act as escalation point for complex challenges, delivery risks, and client concerns; lead client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic discussions with actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on SEO experience of 7+ years (agency experience mandatory), with demonstrated leadership of SEO teams through Team Leads or senior specialists managing multiple client portfolios.
- Strong strategic expertise in On-page, Off-page, Technical, Local SEO, YouTube SEO, and enterprise-scale organic growth frameworks.
- Experience in GEO and AEO best practices.
- Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
- Ability to build structured processes, drive team accountability, and connect SEO performance to business outcomes like lead generation and revenue growth.
- Confidence in leading client conversations, performance reviews, and strategic planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills with a data-first mindset.
