About Us

What A Story is a wedding photography and videography studio based in Hyderabad. We've shot 800+ weddings across India and the USA, from home ceremonies in Hyderabad to palace weddings in Udaipur and traditional Indian ceremonies for couples in Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York. We're a small team that cares a lot about the work - and we're looking for someone to own the SEO side of that story.

The Role

You'll be responsible for growing our organic visibility across two very different markets: India and the USA. That means location pages, destination wedding content, Google Business Profile management across multiple cities, and the technical work that keeps it all running properly.

This isn't a publish blogs and hope role. You'll be looking at Search Console data, diagnosing why pages aren't ranking, fixing what's broken, and reporting on what actually moved.

What You'll Do

• Own on-page optimization across our location and service pages - titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, schema markup
• Handle technical SEO: site audits, crawl issues, redirects, page speed, indexation problems, Core Web Vitals
• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles across multiple Indian and US city listings
• Analyze Search Console and analytics data to identify opportunities and diagnose drops
• Build and execute content plans around wedding, destination wedding, and pre-wedding search intent
• Track rankings, traffic, and conversions - and report on them clearly
• Support off-page work: citations, directory listings, backlink outreach, and link profile hygiene

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or service-business background preferred)
• Strong command of on-page SEO and technical SEO - this is non-negotiable
• Comfortable with Search Console, Google Analytics, and at least one SEO tool (Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
• Understanding of local SEO and Google Business Profile management
• A previous progress report, case study, or portfolio showing work you've actually done and results you've driven - please include this with your application
• Off-page/link building knowledge is a plus
• Experience in the photography, wedding, or creative services niche is a strong plus
• Familiarity with WordPress and Elementor is helpful
