Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced faculty member to teach
VFX and compositing as part of the Animation/VFX curriculum. The role involves delivering structured lectures, conducting practical lab sessions, mentoring student projects, and ensuring course delivery aligns with academic objectives and current industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and hands-on training in VFX and compositing.
- Conduct lab sessions and guide students through practical workflows.
- Mentor student assignments and final projects.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Align teaching methodologies with industry practices and academic outcomes.
Required Skill Set
- Proficiency in Nuke for node-based compositing.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Understanding of editing fundamentals using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience with Silhouette for rotoscoping and paint.
- Practical knowledge of 3D Equalizer for camera tracking.
- Strong understanding of VFX production pipelines and workflows.
- Ability to explain concepts effectively to undergraduate students.
- Experience in student evaluation, assignments, and project mentoring.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of CGI integration and color correction.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or academic training experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Industry experience in film, television, or digital media (added advantage).
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 1–2 years
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design (or equivalent) with relevant experience
