Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an SDET Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience and expertise in Cypress. The position is based in Bengaluru, and some work-from-home flexibility is acceptable. The SDET Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using Cypress, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality, implementing test strategies, and ensuring confidence in the software delivery pipeline. The role also includes identifying and resolving technical issues and enhancing test automation frameworks aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end UI automation test suites using Cypress.
• Build and execute reliable API automation tests using Mocha and Chai frameworks.
• Create reusable automation components and scalable testing frameworks to improve test coverage and maintainability.
• Implement data mocking, stubbing, and intercepting strategies to validate edge cases and reduce dependency on unstable backend services.
• Perform integration and regression testing to ensure application quality across releases.
• Optimize automation pipelines through Cypress Parallelization and execution strategies to significantly reduce build and execution time.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, QA teams, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities and improve CI/CD quality gates.
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Continuously enhance test automation standards, best practices, and framework performance.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Testing
• Expertise in Java & Selenium
• Experience with Mocha and Chai for API automation testing
• Strong knowledge of API Testing and REST services
• Experience with mocking, stubbing, and intercepting APIs/data
• Hands-on experience in Cypress Parallelization
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation execution in build environments
• Experience with Git/version control systems
