Sdet Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Playwright, Webdriver IO, and Java Selenium.
• Implement and maintain BDD test automation using Cucumber.
• Develop and execute automated tests for web applications, REST APIs, and back-end systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective bug tracking and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
• Strong knowledge and scripting experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Java Selenium and Webdriver IO frameworks.
• Cucumber BDD framework expertise for behavior-driven testing.
• Experience with API automation and tools like Postman, REST Assured, or native JS/TS frameworks.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cypress is a plus.
• Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to performance or security testing is a bonus.
