Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SDET - Airborne to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical airborne software systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, API/UI testing, and Linux-based environments, along with experience working in Agile and BDD frameworks.
You will play a key role in building scalable test frameworks, validating complex systems, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality airborne software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies
- Perform API testing, UI testing, and Linux-based system testing
- Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks
- Work within Agile and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) methodologies
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution
- Generate test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders for quality assurance
- Ensure adherence to aviation/airborne software standards and best practices
- Continuously improve test processes, coverage, and automation efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in manual and automation testing
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools
- Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium or similar)
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave, etc.)
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Basic programming knowledge in Java/Python
Preferred Skills
- Experience in aviation/airborne or embedded systems testing
- Knowledge of DO-178C or similar aviation standards
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Exposure to performance and security testing
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
