We are looking for a Software Tester/SDET who will own quality end-to-end across backend services, SDKs, and client applications. This role is a balanced mix of manual and automation work and requires a strong engineering mindset. You will be responsible not just for finding bugs but also for building testing systems, tools, and processes that scale with the product.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle for features and products, from requirements to release.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests with equal focus.
- Define and implement testing processes and best practices across teams.
- Develop internal testing tools, utilities, and automation scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Take a holistic quality approach, covering functional correctness, security considerations, scalability, infrastructure, and user experience.
- Actively collaborate with developers and product teams to prevent bugs, not just detect them.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing/SDET roles, preferably working across backend services, APIs, and client applications.
- Design detailed test cases and test scenarios for complex backend services, APIs, SDKs, and Unity-based applications.
- Execute tests end-to-end, including backend, client, and integration layers.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman and validate data using database clients.
- Write, maintain, and improve automation scripts and internal testing tools.
- Analyze bugs, debug issues, and provide clear, actionable defect reports.
- Work across backend systems using Go, REST APIs, WebSockets, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Collaborate with client-side teams working on C# and Unity-based applications.
- Use tools like Postman, Selenium, Appium, DB clients, and custom test tools/scripts for testing and validation.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and work across multiple systems as required.
