At Yappes, we are building products that solve real-world API and platform engineering problems. We are looking for a smart, hands-on Backend Developer who enjoys writing clean code, building scalable services, and solving engineering challenges.
This role is ideal for someone with
3-5 years of experience who wants to grow in backend engineering and work on APIs, microservices, integrations, and performance-focused product development.
Responsibilities
- Expected to provide design/system solutions to the problems
- Perform code-review
- Need to take ownership of features and do/drive its implementation
- Expected to write production ready code adhering to defined coding best practices
- Contribute to end-to-end dev stack of the product development
- Continuous process to identify opportunities to improve system designs, architecture and implementation standards
Requirements
- Ability to write middleware/plugins, distributed workloads using goroutines
- Experience with core native packages for API developments
- Experience in implementing REST APIs
- Experience in implementing and scaling containerized services
- Experience in deploying and maintaining golang based server-side applications
- Knowledge on go based cli tool implementation
- Knowledge with web frameworks like gin or echo
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure like GCP, AWS, etc
- Good grasp on data structures best practices and optimization of the code
- Communication skills
