Job Summary
Auriga is looking for a Software Engineer who can develop and deploy APIs and Web applications using Django Rest Framework (DRF) / Flask / FastAPI and power a variety of leading-edge digital products. You'll need to bring creative thinking and architectural problem solving to the table, to devise optimal technical solutions, along with highly performance user experiences.
Responsibilities
Technical skills
Backend / APIs
- 3+ years in web application and API development in Python
- Strong experience with MVC frameworks: Django / DRF, Flask
- Experience building API services from scratch (project structuring, env setup, reusable components)
- Web services and APIs: REST, SOAP
- API management and documentation: Swagger / OpenAPI
Architecture / standards
- Work with client architects/senior developers on high-level and low-level design/architecture
- Experience defining and applying design/coding standards, patterns, and quality metrics
Concurrency / performance
- Experience with multithreading, collections, and concurrent APIs
- Working experience creating high-performing applications, including profiling and performance tuning
Data / messaging
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with messaging technologies and async processing (Celery / RabbitMQ / Kafka)
Cloud / DevOps
- Working experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins)
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructures: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Code configuration and release management
Programming fundamentals
- Excellent OOP, data structures, and algorithm knowledge
Frontend basics
- Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS
- Experience with at least one frontend framework: Angular / React / Vue
Testing / quality
- Unit and integration testing
- Experience writing high-quality code with automated unit tests (e.g., JUnit/Mockito or equivalent)
Tooling / environment
- Working experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
- API testing tools: Postman (or similar)
- Version control: Git
- Create and maintain technical documentation and development best practices
Soft Skills
- Work with business users to gather and refine functional requirements
- Translate complex business problems into end-to-end technical solutions
- Collaborate with client architects and senior developers for design and reviews
- Strong collaborator in agile, remote, distributed team environments
- Work with team members to ensure deadlines and delivery commitments are met
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Keep current with emerging technologies and continuously upgrade skills
