Expectations
- Proven experience building and operating production-grade systems at scale
- Strong backend fundamentals: async frameworks (e.g., FastAPI), concurrency, distributed systems
- Understanding of databases: schema design, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning
- Experience with task queues and background job processing
- Hands-on with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Strong observability practices: logging, monitoring, alerting, debugging
- Reliability-first mindset with high ownership
- Ability to anticipate failure modes and design resilient systems
- Focus on fault tolerance, monitoring, and operational excellence in production
