Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled
SDE-3/Lead Backend Engineer with strong expertise in
Java-based backend systems . You will be responsible for designing scalable architectures, leading engineering initiatives, and mentoring team members while delivering high-performance distributed
systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend systems using Java
- Lead end-to-end system design and architecture discussions
- Drive best practices in coding, performance optimization, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps)
- Own critical services and ensure uptime, performance, and security
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Improve system observability using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools
- Handle production issues and drive root cause analysis (RCA)
Technical Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and core concepts (Collections, Multithreading, JVM tuning)
- Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms
- Experience with databases: MySQL / PostgreSQL (SQL), DynamoDB / MongoDB
- Messaging systems: Kafka / RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with AWS
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation
- Use AI to speed up code reviews, identify potential bugs, and suggest optimizations
- Apply AI tools in system design exploration and solution prototypingGood to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Exposure to system design at scale (high TPS systems)
- Knowledge of caching (Redis, Memcached)
- Experience in distributed tracing and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

- Drive technical roadmap and architectural decisions

Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field
- 510+ years of backend development experience
- Proven experience in building scalable production systems
