We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of our Operator App, a hybrid mobile + web platform used by bus operators globally. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong engineering depth, high ownership, and the ability to reset team execution rhythm while leading by example. You will drive critical product revamps, improve engineering processes, and ensure we deliver high-quality, scalable experiences for global B2B users.
Responsibilities
- Complete the ongoing app revamp (New Journey Flow) and launch web + TV compatibility.
- Establish a V0-first, iterative development culture and reduce dependency on perfect design specs.
- Improve sprint execution and team velocity; reduce blocked time.
- Lead migration from Redux to Redux Toolkit.
- Achieve 70%+ unit test coverage across major modules.
- Own the Playback feature (video timeline, components, download flow).
- Define clear patterns for Capacitor native plugin development and maintenance.
- Improve turnaround time for business requests (especially the PH market).
- Partner closely with Design, start with mocks, iterate directly in code.
- Own sprint cycles and ensure consistent, predictable delivery.
Requirments
- Expert in ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with hybrid mobile development (Capacitor/Ionic or similar).
- Deep understanding of state management, especially Redux and Redux Toolkit.
- Experience building responsive apps across web, mobile, and TV.
- Familiarity with native plugin integration (maps, push notifications).
- Good understanding of testing frameworks (unit/integration/E2E).
- Awareness of backend fundamentals (Node.js, MongoDB) for cross-team collaboration.
People Skills
- 1+ years mentoring or leading developers.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and best practices.
- Improve team processes and engineering velocity.
