Job Description: SDE 2 – DevOps Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SDE 2 – DevOps Engineer who can help us build, manage, and scale reliable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud deployments, Kubernetes, automation, and monitoring systems.
You will work closely with the engineering team to improve deployment speed, system reliability, infrastructure security, and overall developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for faster and safer deployments.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Pulumi.
- Monitor production systems and proactively resolve performance or reliability issues.
- Manage logs, alerts, dashboards, and system health checks.
- Improve deployment workflows, rollback strategies, and release processes.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot infrastructure and application-level issues.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security, scalability, and cost-optimization best practices.
What We're Looking ForMust-Have Skills
- Version Control: Strong proficiency in Git, including GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Pulumi.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS is preferred; experience with other cloud providers is also acceptable.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Familiarity with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
- Scripting Knowledge: Ability to write automation scripts using Python or Bash.
Good to Have
- Experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Knowledge of AWS services like ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, Route 53, and Load Balancers.
- Understanding of networking concepts, DNS, SSL, VPC, security groups, and firewalls.
- Experience with log management and observability tools.
- Basic understanding of security, access control, and compliance practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
