Job Description: SD-WAN and Security Architect
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced SD-WAN and Security Architect to lead the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable wide-area network solutions. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of hands-on experience in SD-WAN technologies, enterprise security architectures, and network engineering, with a strong ability to align technical strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect SD-WAN solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead security architecture initiatives across networking projects, ensuring robust protection of data and assets.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to integrate secure networking solutions.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate SD-WAN and network security products and services.
- Develop and maintain enterprise security standards, architecture frameworks, and best practices.
- Oversee security assessments, penetration testing, and risk management related to network infrastructure.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture designs, deployment guides, and SOPs.
- Troubleshoot complex SD-WAN and security-related incidents and provide escalation support.
- Conduct Proof-of-Concept (PoC) testing and drive successful implementation of new technologies.
- Stay informed about emerging SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity trends and advise on improvements.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and operational teams on security best practices and SD-WAN operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in network architecture, SD-WAN design, and enterprise security solutions.
- Deep understanding of SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Versa, Fortinet, Silver Peak, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of network security architecture (firewalls, VPNs, ZTNA, SASE, segmentation).
- Proficient in risk assessment, security policy development, and regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking and security integration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred (CCNP/CCIE, PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS/Azure security certifications, CISSP).
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
