About Position
This role is responsible for driving successful Agile delivery for data engineering initiatives by leading Scrum ceremonies, coaching teams on Agile best practices, and removing impediments to ensure smooth execution. The position partners closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and timely delivery of highquality outcomes.

What You'll Do
- Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are effective, focused, and timeboxed.
- Coach and mentor crossfunctional teams on Agile/Scrum practices, driving consistent adoption and continuous maturity.
- Guide teams and stakeholders on how to apply Agile principles effectively to maximize delivery outcomes, especially within data engineering initiatives.
- Promote selforganization, accountability, and ownership within the team.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments that block team progress; escalate risks and issues proactively when required.
- Partner closely with the Product Owner to support backlog management, ensuring clarity, readiness, and prioritization of user stories.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through regular inspection, retrospectives, and actionable followups.
- Implement and monitor Agile metrics (velocity, burndown/burnup charts) to track progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Shield the team from external disruptions while creating a safe environment for open communication, transparency, and feedback.
- Foster strong collaboration between engineering teams, stakeholders, and dependent teams.
- Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and Agile values, and educate stakeholders on Agile best practices and benefits.
Expertise You'll Bring
- Proven experience delivering Data Engineering or Data Platform projects in an Agile environment.
- Strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Lead, facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
- Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with the ability to tailor practices to organizational needs.
- Expertise in impediment management, risk escalation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
- Experience using Agile metrics and reporting tools to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflictresolution skills.
- Ability to build trust, promote accountability, and enable highperforming, selforganizing teams.
