Job Title:Scrum Master

Reporting To: Head of Software Engineering

Team: Technology and Innovation Scrum Masters

Location: India

Role Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Scrum Master to lead and inspire our Agile teams in delivering outstanding project results. In this pivotal role, you will play a central part in implementing and facilitating the Agile framework, ensuring that sprint planning is efficient and effective, and fostering an environment of collaboration, trust, and transparency among team members. Your responsibilities will include identifying and addressing any roadblocks or challenges that may impede progress, ensuring that the team operates at its highest potential.

You will take on the role to guiding team members to embrace and adhere to Agile principles and practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By championing Agile methodologies, you will not only help the team deliver high-quality outcomes but also drive their ongoing growth and success as an Agile unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

This a full time permanent role reporting to the Head of Software Engineering.

This role offers balanced working in our Chennai office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Monitor and track the team's progress using Agile tools such as JIRA.
  • Promote Agile values, principles, and practices within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and define clear and actionable user stories.
  • Identify and address roadblocks to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Empower and coach the team to enhance collaboration and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing workflows and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Ensure transparency by communicating team metrics, progress, and challenges to stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • At least 5 years of Scrum Master experience or in a similar agile project management role.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Desirable

  • Background in maritime, logistics, or risk intelligence industries.
  • Experience working in scaled Agile environments
