Scrum Master

A two-pizza engineering team that ships every week has quietly stopped trusting its own sprint commitments, and nobody on the team has the bandwidth to fix that while also writing code. That is the opening: a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company hiring its founding India Scrum Master through Flexiple, brought in specifically to fix the rhythm before three squads become five.

The company has one squad today and plans for three within the year, so whatever rhythm gets set here becomes the default for everyone who joins after. The first few weeks are about the basics nobody has time for: a working definition of done, a backlog groomed enough that planning does not run two hours over, and retros that actually change something the following sprint. After that, the job is scaling the same discipline as headcount doubles.

You are a fit if you have:

• 4 to 7 years running Scrum or Kanban for product engineering teams, ideally inside a startup that grew fast
• A CSM, PSM or equivalent certification, though scars matter more here than certificates
• Comfort pushing back on a founder or product lead when sprint scope does not match capacity
• Fluency with Jira or Linear, and the ability to set up reporting a founder can actually read
• Experience introducing agile ceremonies to a team that has never had them, not just running existing ones
