Senior Tech Scrum Master – Cloud & Microservices Delivery

A. Job Objective

To lead Agile delivery for cloud-based product teams by facilitating Scrum practices, ensuring predictable sprint execution, removing impediments, and enabling high-quality, timely releases through strong cross-functional collaboration.

B. Primary responsibilities

Strategic and planningFunctional

Core

• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Work closely with Architects and DevOps teams to understand cloud architecture dependencies and delivery sequencing
• Drive sprint commitment reliability and Definition of Done adherence
• Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation plans
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks, and environment constraints impacting sprint commitments.
• Support release planning and roadmap alignment with Product and Engineering
• Track Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time) and drive continuous improvement
• Enable delivery of Azure-based cloud services in collaboration with Architecture and DevOps teams.
• Ensure CI/CD pipeline readiness and release governance
• Coordinate Dev, QA, UAT, and Production deployments
• Maintain traceability from requirements to release (audit readiness where applicable)
• Provide delivery dashboards and structured status reporting to leadership

Internal process

• Ensure adherence to Agile and delivery governance standards
• Promote standardized Scrum practices across teams
• Enable structured cross-functional communication between Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Architecture
• Maintain sprint discipline and documentation hygiene
• Ensure transparency in risks, dependencies, and delivery status
• Support audit readiness and compliance where applicable
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process optimization

People development

• Mentor and guide junior Scrum Masters and team members
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and engineering discipline
• Promote Agile mindset and continuous learning within teams
• Enable constructive feedback and structured conflict resolution
• Encourage collaboration, transparency, and team maturity growth
• Support skill development aligned with delivery needs

1. Key Result Areas

Compulsory

• 8–12 years of overall IT experience
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as Scrum Master in cloud-based product delivery
• Proven experience delivering microservices-based platforms
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams

Preferred

• Pharma / Life Sciences domain experience (regulated environment preferred)
• Exposure to event-driven architecture patterns
• Scrum certification (CSM / PSM or equivalent)
