At Botlab, we build technology that people don't always immediately understand. Drone shows. Autonomous systems. Immersive experiences. Deep tech presented as spectacle.
Our biggest challenge is not building the technology.
It is explaining it in a way that people actually feel something.
That is where you come in.
What this role really is
You will sit at the intersection of:
- Technology
- Business
- Marketing
- Show Design
- Creative execution
And your job is simple to describe but difficult to do:
- Turn complexity into clarity.
- Turn ideas into stories.
- Turn briefs into communication that actually works.
What you will be trusted with
- Writing scripts/VO/Narrative concepts/Pitches for show design
- Writing scripts for technology films, brand films and showcase videos
- Writing copy for campaigns, launches, and social media
- Helping structure messaging when different teams are saying different things
- Understanding what marketing wants, what tech means, and what audiences will understand
- Helping shape how Botlab sounds as a brand
This is not execution writing.
This is thinking + writing.
What we value more than experience
We care less about where you have worked.
We care whether you:
- Ask intelligent questions when a brief is unclear
- Can structure messy information into sharp communication
- Can write in varied genres
- Know the difference between trendy writing and effective writing
- Can switch between youth social tone and polished professional tone
- Can write naturally in both English and Hindi
- Understand how video writing is different from design copy
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions
Minimum expectations
- 3+ years writing scripts and copy (both required)
- Experience writing for video content (not optional)
- Experience writing marketing copy or statics
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Portfolio that shows thinking, not just words
Culture fit
You will do well here if:
- You like solving communication problems
- You don't get intimidated by technical conversations
- You prefer ownership over micromanagement
- You care about doing good work more than looking busy
- You can handle direct conversations without politics
You will struggle here if:
- You need constant validation
- You only execute without thinking
- You avoid responsibility
- You need perfect processes to function
Why this role exists:
Companies innovating for the future cannot communicate like those stuck in the past. If you're passionate about solving this problem, we should talk.
