Role Description The SCM Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement planning, vendor coordination, order processing, and inventory monitoring to support project timelines. The SCM Executive will track material movement, follow up with suppliers and transport partners, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing purchase orders, updating ERP or tracking systems, reconciling stock records, and collaborating with project, finance, and warehouse teams to minimize delays and optimize costs. The role may also involve reviewing supplier performance, supporting negotiations, and suggesting process improvements to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, or procurement within infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
- Ability to manage inventory, track material movement, and maintain accurate documentation using MS Excel and ERP or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing demand, addressing supply issues, and supporting cost optimization.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple orders, deadlines, and reports in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in SCM or logistics are an advantage.
- Familiarity with standard procurement practices, contract terms, and basic commercial concepts.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and adapt to project schedules and operational requirements.
