Purpose And Scope
Responsible for creation/maintenance of supply chain master data in global systems (SAP S/4, IBP, rfXcel) on time as requested in an implementation report, standalone request, data quality request or deactivation request. The specialist of SCM master data maintenance who is having global system knowledge and experience and familiar with Astellas data rules to secure data integrity.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Performs role of Business Data Steward, as described in Astellas master data governance policies and process designs.
- Executes assigned tasks in Implementation Reports to completion. Timely escalates any deviations to the SPD process lead.
- Understands product flows and business scenarios. Can implement master data based on a business scenario.
- Plans and manages own work, in line with agreed timelines, keeping the other business data stewards updated on relevant information on status and outlook.
- Applies general master data rules and procedures relevant to own work.
- Familiar with procedures and systems related to the development of packaging materials. Capable of doing operational work using them. This includes execution of mass updates upon request by business.
- Data quality management. Knows the operational tools and procedures for the data rules-based checks and can work with them. Actively contributes to meet the data standards. Flags the need to adjust or extend the data rules.
- Data quality incident management. Flags risks and potential issues to the technical data steward. Supports the further investigation into root cause, impact, and the resolution process on request.
- Executes the periodical de-activation requests as assigned by the coordinator. Signals candidates for deactivation with the coordinator.
- Project support. Escalates to team manager when ad hoc, non-BaU tasks are becoming structural or takes too much effort, so that project participation can be organized. Participates in (business, IS, TBIM) projects, on behalf of the SCM MDM team, in line with the specific agreements. Works on SCM master data for and as agreed in the project. Flags potential issues to SCM MDM team lead or project manager.
- Project: Participates in projects for execution and documentation of tests and supports with design and approval of tests.
- Small, ad hoc changes requests. Flags incoming requests for small changes that are potentially problematic (network change, too much effort, no mandate, not in line with agreements, not fully understood) to the team lead. Completes agreed changes of the SCM master data, following the request and in line with standards and guidelines, and documents the work. Communicates about status and outlook of the request with the requestor.
- Support creation and updating of documentation with day-to-day experiences or expert knowledge.
- Share knowledge with other business data stewards.
Required Qualifications
- Education is bachelor's degree preferred.
- Understands master data management model and tools and methods to set up and maintain master data in accordance with quality standards.
- Understands the complexity of supply chain flows, and their relationship with (SCM) master data. Able to perform complex material setup and maintenance.
- Keeps track of new developments in the master data domain and uses this knowledge in the context of own work when appropriate.
- Able to participate in projects.
- Hands-on knowledge of operational (master data) processes in common ERP systems (SAP), preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Able to work in a team and use knowledge and insights to improve team performance.
- Ability to contribute to development of knowledge management and data management in the area of (supply chain) master data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced working with system Microsoft office like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Access.
- Experienced working with SAP S/4 or ERP and IBP systems.
- Experienced working with RfXcel system.
