Brief: We are looking for a Scientist/Senior Scientist - R&D, who will own products from first idea to pilot batch. You won't be one step in a long chain. You will formulate, test, prove performance and take the product to scale-up our products.

Brief: We are looking for a Scientist/Senior Scientist - R&D, who will own products from first idea to pilot batch. You won't be one step in a long chain. You will formulate, test, prove performance and take the product to scale-up our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new home care formulations end to end, from concept and prototypes through stability and pilot-scale trials
- Build performance systems that make our products different
- Set the efficacy benchmarks with protocols you design and competitor comparisons you run
- Evaluate and qualify new raw materials and polymers
- Run lab-to-pilot trials and hand over cleanly to production
- Use Excel, Power BI and AI tools to analyse data and make reports to showcase to top management
Mandatory Requirement
- B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)/B. Pharma/M. Pharma/M.Sc. (Chemistry) or equivalent
- 3+ years of R&D experience in FMCG formulation development, specifically in
- Home Care, Personal Care, Fabric Care, or Hygiene categories
- Proven track record of taking at least one product from concept through commercial launch (full NPD/EPD cycle)
- Read, understand, and apply relevant SOP / ISO protocols with regards to data generation for product registration for submission to Global Regulatory, Agencies.
- Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment.
- Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, following Safety and Good Housekeeping requirements
- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench, understanding or interest in chemistry, surfactant or related science.
- Ability to interpret results from lab tests, conduct performance and analysis
- evaluations of competitive products.
- Hands-on formulation and ingredient understanding , with experience interpreting performance and stability data
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional stakeholders
- Working knowledge of stability studies, product performance evaluation, and technical documentation
- Exposure to claims substantiation and consumer testing methodologies
- Exposure to Performance testing and demo development
- Experience with alternate vendor/raw material qualification and cost-optimization projects
- Prior experience in patent filing or IP documentation
- Problem Solver - you can troubleshoot formulation and process issues methodically
- Curious - you track new ingredients, technologies, and competitor moves and always stay on top
