About The Role
The role is critical in leading category packaging development by engaging key stakeholders to develop innovative packaging solutions and processes to ensure smooth execution of projects on time at right quality and at optimum cost
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Packaging development of assigned product categories of GCPL
- Develop and propose innovative packaging solutions that enhance consumer experience, convenience, and brand appeal.
- Collaborate with product development, marketing and design teams to translate consumer insights into packaging innovations.
- Identify and evaluate emerging packaging technologies, materials, and formats.
- Evaluation of designs, systems and materials.
- Root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Data generation, analysis and documentation
- Generation of new ideas
- Implementation of new technologies
- Drive process improvement, value engineering and competition mapping
- Recommend solutions and take decisions in alignment with key stakeholders
- Be an individual contributor for the specified role.
Experience
- Experience in core packaging development in a leading FMCG company.
- Experience in leading category packaging development independently.
Skills
- Sound knowledge of different types of packaging materials like rigid and flexibles, its applications, various conversion processes and good understanding of packaging development process.
- Proactive, self-initiator, analytical, team player, risk taker with good communication skills.
- Exposure to problem solving tools.
- Exposure to mould management and plastic processing will be an added advantage.
- A keen interest in packaging innovation and design thinking.
Education
- Post Graduation in Packaging, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science from a reputed institute with bachelors in P, C, M or engineering.
- Additional qualifications in plastic processing or tool making will be added advantage
