Job Description

Qualification:

  • M.Tech or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or a closely related field (Mandatory)
  • Candidates with research experience or publications in peer-reviewed journals will be given preference

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scientific Oversight & Quality Control

  • Review and validate all scientific content produced by the content team including articles, infographics, social media posts, newsletters, eBooks, and educational materials to ensure factual accuracy and scientific integrity
  • Ensure that all content aligns with the latest developments in biotechnology, life sciences, genomics, bioinformatics, and related fields
  • Provide constructive scientific feedback to content developers to continuously raise content quality standards

2. Team Management & Content Pipeline

  • Lead and manage a team of content developers and science writers, assigning topics, setting timelines, and reviewing deliverables
  • Design and maintain a structured content calendar across Biotecnika& platforms (Biotecnika.org, Rasayanika, Pharmanika, Meditechnica, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • Collaborate with faculty, domain experts, and academic advisors to source and verify content accuracy

3. Social Media Handles Management

  • Oversee and manage the scientific content published across Biotecnika social media handles, ensuring each platform& tone, accuracy, and engagement are appropriate for the target audience
  • Plan and supervise the creation of science-focused social media content posts, reels, carousels, stories that simplify and communicate complex biological concepts to students and early researchers
  • Monitor social media content performance and guide iterative improvements based on audience engagement data

4. Strategic Content Planning

  • Develop a science-first content strategy that positions Biotecnika as an authoritative voice in the Indian biotech education ecosystem
  • Identify trending topics in life sciences, biotech, and bioinformatics to create timely and relevant content that resonates with students and professionals
  • Collaborate with the marketing and admissions teams to align scientific content with
  • Biotecnika & course offerings, lead generation goals, and brand messaging

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, video, and multimedia teams to ensure that scientific content is presented accurately and engagingly across formats
  • Coordinate with faculty and program leads to develop course-specific content that reinforces Biotecnika& educational offerings
  • Liaise with the placement and industry relations team to create content that bridges academic learning and industry relevance

Skills Required

  • Scientific Domain Expertise (Mandatory): Deep knowledge of life sciences, biotechnology, molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, or related fields. Ability to evaluate the scientific accuracy of content independently
  • Scientific Communication: Ability to simplify and convey complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences from undergraduate students to working researchers without compromising accuracy
  • Content Quality Supervision: Strong editing and review skills with an emphasis on scientific correctness, logical flow, and audience relevance
  • Social Media Acumen: Understanding of how scientific content performs across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp; ability to guide the team to create platform-appropriate content without personally authoring all posts
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of writers and content creators, set quality benchmarks, and deliver on publishing schedules
  • Project Management: Ability to manage content calendars, multi-platform workflows, and publishing timelines with efficiency
  • CMS & Digital Tools: Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms for content management; comfortable with Google Analytics or equivalent tools for tracking content performance

Experience Required

  • Minimum 24 years of experience in a scientific content, academic writing, or science communication role
  • Prior experience managing a content team or overseeing a scientific publication or media platform is strongly preferred
  • Experience handling social media pages for a science, education, or research-focused organization is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of science and digital communication
