Job Description

Role Overview

This is a dynamic, multi-vertical internship/fresher role within the Scientific Affairs

department at Mosaic Wellness. The selected candidate will be trained under and report

directly to the Associate Director - Scientific Affairs. The role spans five distinct responsibility

areas: Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Studies, Analytical Operations, Claims Compliance,

and International Certifications.

This role demands genuine intellectual curiosity, multitasking ability, and willingness to

rapidly context-switch across internal departments and third-party stakeholders on a daily

basis.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensuring product compliance under FSSAI, Ayush, and FDA regulatory frameworks

• Conducting dose-match evaluation for ingredient-level claims

• Assessing safety compliance for critical formulation factors

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines

2. Clinical Studies

• Supporting clinical substantiation of nutraceutical, food, and personal care products

• Reviewing published clinical literature to establish product efficacy

• Assisting in structuring clinical evidence for product dossiers

3. Analytical Operations

• Developing and troubleshooting analytical methods for estimating active components

in product ingredients

• Ensuring nutritional information on product labels is consistently met

• Monitoring product stability and shelf-life through analytical review

• Identifying and resolving inconsistencies in ingredient estimation

4. Claims Compliance

• Reviewing efficacy-based claims on product labels and PDPs (brand websites / e-

commerce platforms)

• Ensuring all claims are backed by authentic published clinical studies and/or patents

• Proactively identifying and resolving potential ASCI or regulatory non-compliance

issues

5. International Certifications

• Driving product certification under US-based clean label standards

• Managing 21 CFR compliance certification processes (US market)

• Coordinating HALAL certification for UAE market compliance

Important Scope Clarification

This role does not involve lab-based product development. The scope includes

formulation review in terms of clinical dose-match for ingredient-based label and PDP

claims, and safety dose-match assessment for critical formulation factors but no hands-on

laboratory formulation work.

Work Style AND Culture Fit

This role is designed for candidates who thrive on variety, intellectual stimulation, and cross-

functional coordination. Daily responsibilities span multiple departments and require

coordination with external third parties simultaneously. The work pattern is intentionally non-

linear and non-monotonous.

Apply only if you carry a larger vision and goal - not merely for a career start. Your

enthusiasm and curiosity to learn across scientific domains is the single most critical attribute

for this role.

Note on Absorption: There is no guaranteed conversion to a permanent role. However,

outstanding performers will always be considered for absorption into a full-time position.

Qualifications AND Eligibility

Mandatory: Masters degree in Nutraceuticals - Compulsory and Non-Negotiable

Preferred: Prior knowledge of or coursework in FSSAI, Ayush, and/or FDA regulatory

frameworks will be an added advantage
