Job Description

Role Overview

The Middle School Science Teacher Facilitator will facilitate engaging, inquiry-driven Science learning experiences for learners in the middle years of the Cambridge Pathway. The role requires a strong understanding of Science concepts, practical investigation and learner-centred pedagogy, with a focus on developing curiosity, critical thinking, scientific reasoning and real-world application.

Minimum Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, preferably in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany or a related Science discipline.
  • B.Ed. or a recognised teacher-training qualification is preferred.
  • Candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant Science discipline will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science curriculum is desirable.
Experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • Experience teaching Science at the Middle School / Cambridge Lower Secondary level will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a Cambridge, IB or other international curriculum school is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in practical/laboratory-based Science teaching is preferred.
