Science Facilitator

Position Summary

AIMEE International School is dedicated to providing a stimulating and inquiry-driven education. We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative General Science Teacher for primary grades who is passionate about fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Inquiry-Based Instruction:
• Foster a culture of curiosity and critical thinking through an inquiry-based teaching approach.
• Design and implement hands-on experiments and activities to promote a deeper understanding of scientific principles.

• Assessment and Feedback:
• Develop and administer assessments to gauge students understanding of scientific concepts.
• Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering continuous improvement and growth.

• Integration with Technology:
• Integrate age-appropriate technology tools and resources to enhance the inquiry-based learning experience.
• Explore innovative ways to use technology in scientific instruction to facilitate understanding and application.

• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-disciplinary connections and integrate science with other subjects.
• Share insights and strategies related to inquiry-based teaching with fellow educators.

• Professional Development:
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in scientific education and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to continuously enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Life Science, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred.
• Proven experience in teaching General Science at the elementary school level, with a focus on inquiry-based methodologies.
• Familiarity with the integration of technology in elementary scientific instruction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Additional Expectations
