A school van driver safely transports students to and from school and school events on time. Their main duties are driving safely, checking the van before trips, keeping students in order, and reporting any vehicle or behavior problems.

Driving and Routes

• Follow fixed routes and time plans.
• Obey all road and traffic laws.
• Drive slowly and carefully in school zones.
• Transport kids to field trips or extra events.

Vehicle Safety and Care

• Inspect the van before and after every trip (brakes, tires, lights).
• Keep the inside of the van clean and safe.
• Check gas, oil, and water levels.
• Report mechanical issues right away.

Student Care and Discipline

• Help children get in and out of the van safely.
• Make sure all passengers wear seat belts.
• Keep order and quiet inside the vehicle.
• Report bad behavior to school leaders.

Communication
