School of Emerging Media, Communication and Film Studies (Film Production Professor)

SGT University is in search of a seasoned professional to work as a Film Production Professor in the School of Emerging Media, Communication and Film Studies for its campus. This is a senior position who will work closely with a team of senior advisors. The University, in its campus spread over 70 acres near Gurgaon, offers around 160+ programs in Medical and Non-Medical domains. . It is a part of a group spanning the fields of education and hospitality. The campus has hostels for students and offers excellent support facilities such as shopping complex, medical facilities, sports, entertainment and transportation. The campus is located less than 5 km from the Delhi border of Daurala and offers convenient access to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

Job Description:-

• Active Filmmaking: Producing, directing, shooting, or editing creative works (short films, documentaries, video essays) to maintain industry currency.
• Research & Publication: Writing for industry journals, critical analysis on cinema history, or creating educational films.
• Film Festival Participation: Contributing creative work to local or international film festivals
• Course Delivery: Teaching undergraduate or postgraduate courses on film production, scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, sound design, and production management.
• Pedagogy Innovation: Making teaching effective by integrating multimedia, latest digital platforms and updated technologies, ensuring the curriculum remains industry-relevant.
• Mentorship: Guiding students through hands-on, end-to-end film production projects, from pre-production to post-production.
• Technical Support: Conducting workshops on the use of modern cameras, production equipment, and editing software.
• Industry Placement/Exhibition: Facilitating the screening of student films in festivals and preparing students for internships and careers in the film industry.

Qualifications:

Education: Masters /PhD with academic experience and an excellent technical knowledge of Film Production ( we can also consider candidate from Film or television industry)

Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying up-to-date with recent advancements in Engineering research and teaching methodologies.

Experience: Minimum 12 years of Experience in Media production . we are looking for professors or experienced Industry Professional combining industry expertise in film, television, and digital media with academic instruction.
