What you will do
- Develop, deploy, and commission offline optimization applications
- Provide specialist application consulting and technical support to affiliates worldwide for new and deployed applications, including model troubleshooting and assistance with model convergence, model and economic information updates, and interpreting optimization
- Provide technical leadership through technical training, work process reviews and best practice implementations
- Closely work with manufacturing sites, process engineering, business stakeholders & business support functions to identify new opportunities, define the scope, cost, benefits and project schedule for new as well as revamped applications
- Support R&D activities in modeling, offline optimization and overlapping technologies
- Position could require 5-10% travel (domestic and/or international)
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Math, or related fields or MS in an engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering or Chemistry only) will be considered & are encouraged to apply
- Minimum 3 years of experience required in with commercial data science/econometrics/time series forecasting/supply chain analytics
- Industrial experience in Planning and/or Scheduling optimization
- Experience in hydrocarbon processing or supply chain optimization, ideally within Refining or PetroChemicals organisations.
- Preference given to those with experience in commercial modeling / optimization platforms such as AspenTech PIMS, AspenTech ORION / APS, AIMMS, Spiral CrudeSuite, Spiral Plan and Schedule etc.
- Advanced MS Excel Macro development, Python, MS SQL, Javascript/JSON, API programming.

- Demonstrations of leadership and mentoring abilities
- Understanding of key economic decisions in hydrocarbon processing supply chain is a plus
