Job Description;
Advantage
- 4+ Years in ScantoBIM / Industrial Plant modelling
- Exposure to brownfield and as-built requirements using 3D laser Scanning for Data capture.
- Ability to interpret industrial pointclouds with dense machinery & services
- Familiarity with production equipment, utilities, pipe racks, equipment clearances, and plantroom layouts.
- AI Infusion for productivity improvements and QA/QCs
Technical Skills:
- Expert in Revit (20232025), ReCap Pro, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage.
- Strong understanding of Shared Coordinates, model linking, worksharing, and pointcloud alignment.
- Ability to review & troubleshoot Dynamo scripts and Revit/AutoCAD Addins.
- Experience with SAPREFX addin workflows and export requirements.
- Knowledge of IFC, MVDs, DWG layer mapping, and JSON export structures.
Project Setup & Standards
- Oversee Point Cloud Registration & Conversion of E57 to RCP using ReCap
- Establish central Revit model using approved project templates.
- Define and enforce Shared Coordinates, Survey Points, Project Base Points, and overall positioning workflow (GNP, WNP, Zalignment).
- Maintain project templates, shared parameters, naming rules, and export layer standards.
Technical Delivery Management
- Lead multidiscipline modeling workflows for Architecture, Structure, MEP & Plant Assets to LOD 300/350.
- Ensure correct use of projectspecific families, components, and libraries
- Supervise execution of Dynamo scripts for automation (SAP attributes, QC checks, area workflows).
- Approve modeling layouts for grids, levels, axis system (A0), and model segmentation.
Interoperability & Export Management
- Validate IFC, DWG, and JSON exports, per required MVD, layer mappings, and client standards.
- Validate data required for SAPREFX including Rooms, Areas (GFA/NIA/Rentable), and space boundaries.
QA/QC & Issue Resolution
- Perform technical audits on coordinate accuracy, model health, parameter completeness, and LOD conformance.
- Run quality checks using Dynamo, Navisworks, and Revit auditing tools.
- Drive resolution for modeling issues, script errors, clashes, & family misuse.
Team & Client Coordination
- Coordinate daily with BIM Coordinators, Senior Engineers, MEP teams, Scan teams, and QA/QC leads.
- Interface with Client BIM Managers and Survey teams for technical clarifications.
- Present weekly technical progress, risks, and deliverable status.
