Scala Developer

Job Description:

• We are seeking a passionate and skilled Scala Developer to design develop and optimize large scale data processing solutions
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scala programming distributed data processing frameworks and modern data engineering practices
• You will work closely with data engineers architects analysts and business stakeholders to build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that enable data driven decision making across enterprises
• The role offers opportunities to work on cloud native data platforms big data technologies and next generation analytics ecosystems

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop test and deploy scalable applications using Scala
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Scala
• Develop ETL ELT workflows to ingest transform and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Collaborate with business analytics and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Write efficient maintainable and reusable code following software engineering best practices
• Optimize application and data pipeline performance through tuning monitoring and troubleshooting
• Integrate solutions with databases data lakes and cloud platforms
• Ensure data quality reliability scalability and security across data solutions
• Participate in code reviews design discussions and knowledge sharing sessions
• Support production deployments and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Technical Requirements:

• 3 5 years of hands on experience in Scala development
• Strong proficiency in Scala programming concepts functional programming collections concurrency and object oriented design
• Experience with Apache Spark Spark SQL DataFrames Dataset APIs
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle PostgreSQL SQL Server or MySQL
• Knowledge of data structures algorithms and software design principles
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL data processing applications
• Familiarity with Unix Linux environments and shell scripting
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of distributed computing and big data concepts
