We are seeking an Azure Data Lake Engineer (Scala Specialist) for a Remote role.

What You'll Own:

• Architect and scale Azure Data Lake ecosystems (ADLS Gen2)
• Build high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Scala + Spark
• Optimize compute costs with advanced Spark tuning techniques
• Implement batch + real-time pipelines (Event Hubs / Kafka)
• Drive end-to-end orchestration using ADF
• Enforce data governance, RBAC, encryption, and compliance (Purview)

Required Skills:

• 7+ years in backend/data engineering (production environments)
• Deep expertise in Apache Spark (DataFrames, Spark SQL, optimization)
• Strong SQL skills (Synapse / Azure SQL)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Git
• Solid understanding of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas)
