Job Description

Overview

  • This role will act as key contact for local configurations in gTMS in order to optimize performance of the tool and avoid disrumptions in daily tasks due to lack of MasterData maintenance.
  • Will be in charge of training other planners/key players in the tool
  • Will be key POC for interaction with Global team / GCC on tool enhancements and regular masterdata setups
  • Key user for testing and tools UAT
  • Lead best practice implementation on Scheduling activities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data maintenance is accurated/updated in gTMS (locations, carriers, users has proper access and correct data)
  • Keep peers trained in any update/process change related with gTMS (ensuring also training decks to support any new functionalty and/or organizational change in planners team)
  • Ensure daily Transportation plans created can be successfully executed by field sites providing the service and productivity levels needed.
  • Resolve optimization issues driven by order changes and ship date delays. Work closely with field personnel to determine resolution
  • Responsible for testing /upgrading versions of the tool (working with the Network Enabler and Technical Development teams)
  • Backup on transport optimization
  • Collaborate with team (Transport planners) to balance daily workloads and support the business.
  • Work with Warehousing/Manufacturing to develop priorization rules for loads to minimize delays on loads & improve loading process
  • Manage database structure and configuration.
  • Validate data processing and modeling.
  • Develop dashboards for data visualization.
  • Lead or support system upgrades and enhancements, including testing and validation.
  • Act as SME for SAP, TMS, Blue Yonder, and GeoTab/GPS Tech during change initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on new functionalities.
  • Coordinating system changes across multiple regions.
  • Ensuring minimal disruption during upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English.
  • Education University degree required.
  • Expertise in system development and demonstrable configuration/programming skills preferred
  • 3-5 years of transportation experience
  • Understanding of Transportation optimization technology
  • Good computer skills (Excel, PowerBI, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP/TMS/Blue Yonder architecture.
    • Be able to manage the change in the organization to centralize the transport Function from Local to Central.
    • Ensure the continuous improvement of a new technology with clear focus on market requirements adaptation
    • Estructured and capable to ensure best-in-class training processes
    • Manage high pressure situations requiring inmediate response to the market
    • Project Management: Ability to manage upgrade timelines and stakeholder communication.
