About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced SAT & GRE Trainer to join our academic team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality test preparation training, helping students improve their scores, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and preparing them for successful university applications abroad.
The ideal candidate should have strong command over English, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, Reading, Writing, and test-taking strategies, along with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Training
- Conduct engaging and structured SAT and GRE preparation classes.
- Teach concepts related to Verbal and Quantitative sections.
- Explain complex concepts using simple and effective teaching methods.
- Conduct both regular classes and doubt-solving sessions.
- Adapt teaching methods according to different student learning levels.
2. Student Assessment & Performance
- Conduct regular mock tests, practice tests, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Track individual student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop personalized improvement strategies for students.
- Help students build accuracy, speed, and confidence.
3. Study Material & Lesson Planning
- Prepare lesson plans, practice exercises, quizzes, and assignments.
- Develop and update training materials according to examination requirements.
- Create additional practice questions and revision material where required.
- Ensure students receive adequate preparation across all relevant sections.
4. Doubt Resolution & Mentoring
- Resolve students academic doubts effectively.
- Provide one-on-one academic guidance when required.
- Mentor students regarding preparation strategies, time management, and exam techniques.
- Motivate students to maintain consistent preparation.
5. Test Strategy & Exam Preparation
- Teach effective test-taking strategies.
- Help students improve time management and question selection.
- Train students to analyze mistakes and avoid repeated errors.
- Conduct mock examinations under test-like conditions.
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with counselors and the academic team regarding student progress.
- Maintain student attendance and performance records.
- Provide regular updates regarding student performance.
- Participate in academic meetings, workshops, seminars, and student events when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience as an SAT/GRE trainer or in standardized test preparation.
- Strong command of English and quantitative concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and classroom management abilities.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly to students from different academic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with mock tests, practice platforms, and test-preparation methodologies.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a Study Abroad / Overseas Education organization.
- Proven SAT/GRE score or strong understanding of the examinations.
- Experience handling both individual and group classes.
- Experience preparing academic content and practice material.
- Ability to train students for competitive score improvement.
